Galleries In Santa Fe

While in Santa Fe, we visited many exciting galleries.  On Canyon Road alone there are somewhere around fifty galleries.

In reading some of the excellent  Visitors  Guides, I found a small add for Chalk Farm Gallery...I was intrigued here was a gallery that featured Visionary and Surreal Art, right up my alley.

Everything in this gallery was perfect.  Wrap it up...I would like to take it home :) Alas *sigh* however, I did buy a book on Daniela and Vladimir Ovtcharov's amazing art...click on the link you will be amazed.

One of my all time favorite artists Daniel Merriam was well represented in the gallery...be still my heart.

I have one of his books, that I know by heart now...to see his art in a gallery was a thrill for me.

There were sculptures by David Goode and Gil Bruvel that needless to say I fell in love with.

The owner of Chalk Farm Gallery is from England where she had a Gallery before moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico.  We had a wonderful time reminiscing about London.

I found this bed in a gift store that specialized in Ethnic art...mostly from Africa.

The Land Of Enchantment

We have just returned from The Land of Enchantment...New Mexico.

Where the sky is so blue that it takes your breath away.

Where the cultures blend.

Where I can indulge in my favorite food.

Where art abounds...inside...

...and outside...in the form of paintings and sculpture...

....public and private and some you can buy...

Where the homes are like a sculpture...

Where everywhere you look there is beauty...

Where the landscape looks like a painting...

Where there are steam trains...

...that climb mountains...(lover level car road...upper level train tracks)

...and stop for cows.

I will be posting more photos of our trip to New Mexico in the next few posts.  There is so much I would like to show you and tell you about.

New Mexico stole a part of my heart eight years ago...this is my third trip to the land of enchantment.
