On Saturday I had a lovely gift arrive from France, for me, from Marie-Neige who has a wonderful blog Ici... la-bas...ailleurs that you really must go and see. She is a photographer and a true artist. I adore her banner.
She sent me three large photos of her series:
maison papillon / butterfly house
They are gorgeous......I will frame them and display them proudly in my home. Thank you Marie-Neige
One thing I love about living on the East Coast of the US is the change of seasons.
Where I live we don't have many extremes in weather...except for the hot and humid summers.
My Mother says of our weather, "that we live in God's pocket"...nice and safe with only occasional heavy weather conditions.
The weather reporters on our local stations predicted 12" for us...we got 6" of beautiful photogenic snow.
I don't want to bore you with a lot of photos of snow...but I did check on the girls Paloma and Aurora. They seemed very cozy in their blankets of snow.
Our little sculpture snuggled up to the Zebra Rock in the Japanese Style Garden had on a lovely robe and hat .
I could not resit showing you this one also.
I mentioned in a previous post that I will have a giveaway each month.
Sometimes it will be a small gift of something from my studio.
Other times something I think you would like to have to use in your own art.
Sometimes it might be something bigger and perhaps more valuable...monetary value that is :)
A friend of mine gave me a box of fabric recently and in this box were three embroidered pieces. Two of them are corner pieces with a circular crocheted insert , the cross stitched part is 9x9 inches. A smaller piece has a 3x4 inches cross stitched rose. It looks like it was originally a tablecloth that has been cut up.
There are rules...there are always rules :)
I will draw a name from the comments on this post on Friday the 13th of March. I know :) I like to tempt fate now and then. Who knows Friday the 13th may just be your lucky day.
Tell your friends about this giveaway...that way I will meet them, I am sure they are as lovely and artistic as you are.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my last two posts. I have not had the energy to write to each of you to say thank you. I appreciate your concern and your valuable input on the colors of my blog. There will be some changes made soon.
I am feeling better and I promise that I will be over to visit you and that I will leave comments.
