MY ART CARER:

When I started my journey of doll making in 1978, I began by making cloth dolls. Today, I sculpt my dolls using paperclay, polymer clay or Apoxie Sculpt, and use paper to clothe my figures along with various found and bought embellishments.
I have a fascination with Masks. I collect and create masks and often integrate them with my dolls.
I studied ceramics and sculpture at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. I have taken doll making classes with the late Robert McKinley and John Darcy Noble and recently with Jean Bernard and Amy Rawson.
I have long been an active member of the doll community. I curated two notable Doll Exhibits in
1989 and 1999 for the Wenham Museum in Wenham, Massachusetts. I have also had one woman shows in Wenham, MA, Cambridge, NY and Rekjavik, Iceland. Bringing my art to my native country was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
I am a NIADA Patron. In 1997, I was on the Carol Duval Show. I am also among the artists featured in Contemporary American Doll Artists and their Dolls by Kathryn Witt.
